About Us

Malcolm started competing in 1986, participating in local hillclimbs and sprints in his self-prepared mini. A move to tarmac special stage rallying in 1990 brought considerably more competitive miles. In 1991 the mini was destroyed in a big roll at the Prestwick Stages and after a little time off he started building a 1300 Nova, also for tarmac stages. Another 1300 Nova followed and then a 1600 Sunbeam before for hillclimbs beckoned once again in a borrowed 1400 Nova, shortly replaced in 1998 by the pink 1600 Nova that he still owns. In 2007 a 1970 Mini Clubman was purchased and this has also evolved into a road-going hillclimber. Throughout all this time, Malcolm has prepared all his cars, maintained their trailers and assisted friends and family with their own racing cars  (Ausper, Hesketh, Van Demien, Lynx, Scoropion, Lotus, Ecurie Ecosse) and transport, including double-deck racing car trailers and 7.5 tonne lorries.  Malcolm has also carried out lots of horse trailer maintenance, as both his wife and son are keen riders, so they have had trailers for many years.
